Flexus™ History

In 2006, Reid™ became aware of a technological development for “bendable concrete” by the University of Michigan using a Japanese developed PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) fibre in a carefully designed engineered cemetitious composite (ECC).

The last four years have been an intense period of research and development with input from many national and international sources including the University of Michigan, Kuraray in Japan, the University of Auckland and our own engineering expertise in New Zealand.

Reid™ are now at the stage of launching a number of products under the Flexus™ banner that will revolutionise the way that we think about concrete construction in the future. For more information on the Flexus™ products, follow our link.
